André and John from the dream-like B&B, Sir Montcalm (le Village) were gracious hosts and fantastic chiefs. One morning Emma woke me up by cheering, "I smell bacon!"
Aside from eating all the bread and butter on the tables, our favorite activity was meeting the furry and scaly creatures at Biosphere, including tamarind monkeys and empire penguins. Typical sound bites from the New Yorkers:
Upon entering the rain forest: "It's kind of muggy in here," commented Jennifer.
Spotting 2 alligators: "They would look great as my new belt and shoes," said Emma.
Few more wonderful and sugary moments:
- Emma the race bike driver on Quadricycle (Vieux-Port de Montréal),
- Delicious dinner and cheesecake at O'Thym,
- Being openly affectionate at a country where the gays are truly equal
- Sharing a cream puff from a very clean China Town (does that sound dirty?)
We look forward to revisiting this charming city, hopefully with our dearest families and friends. For now, Au revoir!
