YAM-YUM

Last Sunday, after an hour of flow yoga, I also took a Bhakti (devoation) yoga workshop. Which, was slightly outside of my spiritual reach and 1 hour too long for my hips.

In this workshop, we learned the seed sound of the heart chakras is Yam (pronounced as YUM). In my state of hunger, when the crowd chanted Yam over and over, I was dreaming of Emma's chili and cheese biscuits that were waiting for me at home.

They tasted heavenly. I bowed to Emma's talent. Yum.

Weekend Retreat

Edgefield B&B at a quaint little village called Sharon Springs, NY.

We slept in,
bought jammies & slippers at Walmart,
found Buddha and a bulldog in the midst of honey brown foliage,
napped while listening to the leaves skimming over the roof,
drank tea & wine by the fireplace,
reflected and reconnected over dinners,
taught Emma how to play Jim Rummy, eventually.

Four friends stayed toasty and romantic, welcoming the new season to settle in.

Waiting for our guests

Bill, Frankie, Sarah and Kevin came over last Saturday night for Emma's famous Shepard's pie and some pastel colored cupcakes. It was as always, a lovely gathering.

Waiting for our guests to arrive..

And, Oliver the next day, recuperating from all the tail wagging and begging
